Code Modules / Building Blocks

One of the lessons I have learned in the quest to program trading systems is to create code modules or building blocks of code that are often reused.  Why re-invent the wheel every time?  Instead, I just use notepad to create and save building blocs or code modules.

It is much easier to just go to a notepad file and copy than it is to recreate code each time one of these building blocs is needed for a new strategy.  New building blocs are created as new logic problems are solved.
